Our objective was to better the learning experience of the children at my village, Joosri in Rajasthan.
We bridged things together than creating all over.
So, we had 2 schools in Joosri, activity bits from ever -inspiring Mr. Arvind Gupta and the BaLA [model of Learning] and 3 days.
Children made some simple flying fishes etc out of paper strips and enjoyed making them fly
Learn angles at the classroom door pivot painting [BaLA concept]
Made the students make General knowledge charts for the entire school by sticking pictures on sheets.
Make your game and keep playing with it
They were taught to make the 7 pieces of tangram from a thick paper provided [involved accurate measurement, cutting, visual mapping], and a sheet which had numerous tangram puzzles to solve n a ziplock to keep all of this.
A class was given waste rectangular boxes annd were asked to do anything on it. The one on the left, made a drawing that continued on 4 sides of the box !
Thumb painting ,mirror patterning were also enjoyed by the students
Our aim is to bring long term improvements, these interactions have given us useful insights for further direction.
